Images to Accompany New Work by Dutch Composer

Dutch composer Jeppe Moulijn used images of my paintings to accompany his new large-scale composition called “The Seasons.” Written for orchestra and four singers, this piece is based on texts from Thoreau's Walden and also poems by Emily Dickinson. When Moulijn reached out to me, these were his words: “When I came across your work it immediately struck a nerve with me. I was in awe. Although we are thousands of miles apart, in very different environments, nature seems to speak the same language and instills the same awe on both sides of the Atlantic: that is what I experienced through your work.” I am grateful for the chance to be a small part of this project. “The Seasons” premiered earlier this year in the Netherlands.
