Crested Butte

The area around Crested Butte, Colorado has been a huge source of inspiration for me. I first went there when I was starting out as an artist; my dad and I were on a road trip and we made a side stop in Crested Butte to explore. It was love at first sight. Ever since then I go back as often as possible, and every time I feel the same sense of excitement and inspiration as I pull into the valley. It has become a place layered with memories of adventures, of friendships that have grown there, and of my own evolution as an artist.

This summer I am honored to have a group of my Crested Butte paintings displayed in town with Oh Be Joyful Gallery. These paintings are all inspired by the area surrounding Crested Butte, many of them painted there on location. I hope they convey my deep sense of gratitude for this place, for my friends who live there, and for my job as an artist which allows me to travel to such amazing places.
